Emergency retraction function In the event of a power outage or other unexpected incidents that cause a power failure, to ensure that the aircraft that has completed boarding leaves and takes off on time, the boarding bridge has a safety evacuation function. Two people manually operate the manual pump installed on the walking wheel frame to drive the walking wheels (which takes about 3 to 5 minutes). This will enable the Passenger boarding bridge to detach from the aircraft and retreat to a safe distance.
