Airport de-icing vehicle deicing fluid system

Description:

According to the design, the liquid system of this modular de-icing vehicle can receive, store, heat and spray hot aircraft de-icing fluid to remove fog, snow and ice from the surfaces of commercial and military aircraft. The system includes liquid tanks, pump systems, liquid heaters, a high working platform, and corresponding pipes and spray guns.

The de-icing vehicle is equipped with an I-type pump system. The I-type system consists of a combination of a pump for transporting/circulating de-icing fluid and an anti-icing fluid pump.

(1) Liquid Tank

The liquid tanks have various different size specifications and are used in combination with de-icing fluid and anti-icing fluid. The liquid tanks are made of stainless steel, which can reduce the maintenance of the tanks, extend their lifespan, and protect the sensitive anti-icing fluid. Internal baffles are added to guide the flow and can reduce the impact on the tank. There are external manholes on the top, which can be opened for cleaning and maintenance of the tank.

(2) Pump System

Ice removal fluid delivery/circulation pump is a two-stage centrifugal pump. It not only transports the ice removal fluid to the heater, but also conveys the ice removal fluid to the cabin spray guns and the electric coils on the vehicle sides. When the basket ice removal spray gun and the electric reel spray gun are both in the closed state, the heated ice removal fluid will automatically circulate into the tank.

(3) Liquid heater

This heater is a self-regulating heater. It can adjust itself during operation, and it will automatically shut off when the liquid tank reaches the ice removal temperature. The heating flame inside is a fully enclosed flame, so it allows for heating operations around the aircraft. The heater can rapidly increase the temperature of the liquid. During the operation of the heater, the liquid flows back into the liquid tank, so the stored ice removal fluid can be rapidly heated.

(4) High-altitude work platform

The movement of the boom is controlled by the operation handles in the cabin, the operation handles in the driver's compartment, the panel in the driver's compartment, or the ground emergency control lever on the ground. The driver's compartment operation handle takes precedence over the ground emergency control lever, and the operation handle in the cabin control box takes precedence over the chassis driver's compartment operation handle and the ground emergency control lever.
